Dear Fans,

There has been much speculation as to what is going on with my career. I wanted
to take a moment to update you as to what is in my future.

This past couple of years has been a whirlwind! I came off of American Idol, signed a
record deal, graduated high school, released my debut album, and introduced my 7-piece
band at the legendary Feinstein’s at the Regency in New York City!

In addition, I was very fortunate to connect with a variety of people who knew and worked with my idols including The Sinatra family,
Steve “Boom Boom” Blauner (Bobby Darrin’s long time manager), and Allen Sviridoff
with the Rosemary Clooney estate.

It’s been a year that I never could have imagined.

Looking ahead, I want to continue to grow and develop as an artist. This music is
the passion of my life and I want each record and live show to reflect this.

So, in January, I will be attending Berklee College of Music in Boston where I was recently
accepted. I will be studying Vocal Performance and a possible minor (to be decided later).

In addition to pursuing my education at Berklee, I have also parted ways with Maverick
Records. I am grateful to them for the start they've given me. The boards will remain hosted by Maverick for the next several months.

My management, legal, and business management team will remain in place and I am
looking forward to bringing new music and live shows to all of you. We are currently working on a online store where you will have the opportunity to purchase my merchandise if you so desire.

Above all, it is the people here reading this that have given me the most joy. You have
believed in me, my music, and the great american songbook.

Thank you John for that update. I am happy and sad but I am very happy for you. It brings closure for us in a sense. I know your career is just beginning. Your post actually made me cry because I know it is going to be awhile now before I can see you perform again. Best wishes to you and college. We will be back whenever you decide to continue, and hopefully with another wonderful album. I love "RED" but I know your next album will be even better. Trust me, your devoted fans on here aren't going anywhere. We love you and will miss you dearly.

I will not say I am not disappointed because I am, but not that you are going to school to further you skills. I am upset about all the missed opportunities and the lack of attetion Maverick has paid to you. I hope this has not tainted your appreciation for fandom. Please know that we only griped so much because we were concerned for you, that is why we were all here. Thank you so much for everything, meeting you twice was a wonderful experience. Your thoughtfulness and compassion are unmatched. I look forward to your online store, if there is any way to sell the Feinstein video there I would pay big buck for it LOL. Good luck in College and please try to keep us updated.

First off, what we expect from you right now is to do what's best for YOU!! We have our own busy lives to worry about, but THANK YOU for taking the time to share yours with us. As you move forward, your career will continue, undoubtably. The path may not be clear yet, but we ALL know it's there. That's about the only thing we ARE 100% sure of. This is what you were meant to do, John.

So enjoy college. It's an awesome experience that you will flourish in, I'm sure. My advice to keep the ladies at bay is a good garlic cologne, and try not to sing to them. Otherwise they'll never leave your dormroom and you'll never get your homework done!

Once again, don't forget the DVD player, that is a big key to happiness no matter where you are.

John, we're all excited for you, and even though we're always anxious for new material from you, we will give you all the time and space you need.

Thanks so much for letting is know what is happening as soon as you were able. I'm sure your experience at college will be a great one and I wish you all the best. I think you should follow some of Trix's suggestions, hehe. I hope we will be able to hear you sing again soon!! The online store is a good idea. Although we are sad that you are closing one chapter of your music career, we are looking forward to the next one. We will continue to be "here" for you and I know we're all still behind you. Would it be possible for you to open an official site of your own so that we don't lose contact with each other, and most importantly you? I hope so! Take care!!

Thank you for letting us know. I think that this is a bittersweet thing for most of us. One one side we've got you continuing to grow, which is most important. I for one have many good memories here with you and all of these people. Thank you for being such a great guy. Not many celebrities would take the time to come and talk with us as much as you did. While this is kind of sad that this period of your life is over, I know that we can all, includinf you, look back with fondness. It's certain there will be many many more to come and I wish you the best of luck. Good luck at Berklee!! You can rest assured we'll all be wherever it is you lead us. We're your fans and I think we all intend to stay that way. Never ever change, John. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Merry Christmas!!!! Remember, you have a bright future ahead of you so please, continue what you do after college!!

One last post: I am glad that you are doing what makes you happy. You seem like you are and that makes me happy.

Ok... now... I know for sure that I will miss you so much!!! Hopefully there will be more performances in the near future with a new and better cd in CA. Just like Xuan I cried reading what you wrote ::sniffles:: ... I will support everything you do... I still hope that you would give us update about your college and what you plan to do in the future and for sure we (fans) would come and check up on it... Im gonna go read the post again to see if I cry.

It is going to be really sad when we type this link into our browzer and it says "Page not found." All these posts, topics, partys, friendships, fights..will all be gone! I loved how the first few months of this board were filled with mystery and excitment. I'm really going to miss it. When we all find a new board to stay at it won't be nearly as exciting because the person that the board is about won't be posting.
