Hi there. Did anyone manage to get pictures or vids from the concerts in Minneapolis? Hope so!

Did you read the whole thread? The Minnesota=Amazing one? There are pics on the first page.

The world really has changed, the music industry is no longer driven by money and connections, it's driven by the mere words of random folks on a free message board. A grave lesson for us all

Ok thanks, I'll look again. All I could see was pictures of John with fans not from the actual performances. But they must be there, so back I go. Thanks.

I don't think they were allowed to bring cameras into the theater. I wouldn't have been able to in Milwaukee except they moved it to the pub.

Thanks for clarifying Mindy. I was really disappointed as I had wanted to go, but couldn't (6 hours from here but still in the US which is another factor). I was a little alarmed as I thought perhaps John's popularity is waning. It's too bad certain theatres are so strict about it. Here, for the Kalan Porter concert, they were REALLY good and just said we know you're going to take pictures, but don't use the flash. That worked out well, and people respected that and everyone was happier. I guess I'm spoiled with Clay, as someone will get vids for him by hook or by crook as the saying goes. Fans also take a lot of risks for those though which isn't all that great for them.

I did get the audio for the Milwaukee concert. I've been listening to it ever since. Michelle has them and when she gets a chance, she'll host them for us.

Aren't you a smart one! Thanks so much! Big Grin Thanks again Michelle for all the work you do. Presently I'm working on a John montage and I'll share it with you once it's done. We do love our John!

I understand this is a lot of work, but I was just wondering on the status of these? Mindy, would you be willing to send them to me via MSN?

For these small club concerts, the people are all bunched in at tables VERY close together and you're all about a few feet from the stage. Any photography would be a bad thing. To have to sing with cameras going off a few feet from your face would be awful. The clubs didn't allow it anyway. So no media... Frowner Trust me, there was so much I wish I was able to capture, but it just doesn't work in the club setting as it would for a big outdoor concert. It's very different. It's all about the music, and it's the VERY best way to experience John's singing! He ROCKS!! And the band really is phenominal.

I can e-mail them to you. They're pretty big. I had to compress them for Michelle. What's your e-mail?

The pictures I did take are here John in Milwaukee

Oh well, thanks for explaining. It sounds like it would be a bit hard to be 'sneaky' in that environment. At some concerts you can take pictures as long as you don't use the flash, but that's generally in a large concert hall. Thanks to Carrie's Mom, who did manage to get a few pictures. Btw, it was not my intention to make anyone feel bad about this.

Wisconsinites are known for wearing cheeseheads all over the country so I thought I'd make him an honorary Wisconsinite. I've got your e-mail and I'll send them tonight when I get home from work.

No worries! LOL, I myself was so bummed when no one got any audio from John Christmas performances at school last year, so I know the feeling of wanting the media! LOL Wink

Oh dear, that would have been nice to hear too, lol.

I've heard one MP3 from the Milwaukee concert and they turned out really well. I'm finding you can send larger files from server to server via the Internet. You just have to make sure you don't open Outlook Express or you'll mess up your computer - have to open the message online and then download the attachment online, and then delete the message without trying to download it into Outlook. Anyway, thanks for capturing those Mindy.

Is it possible for permanent links to be set up for the Milwaukee sound files? I just wish others could enjoy them as well.

I have a few... but they're very blurry... I didn't want to distract him so I didn't use flash.
