This magazine is complimentary at my husband's Chiropractic Health Center. I asked him to see if he has more copies, and he's going to see if there are any left.

The magazine was too big for my scanner, but I wanted to share with you as much as I could get. I feel bad that I cut our part of his Grandfather, but hopefully I'll get to Kinkos and have it reduced, so I can show the entire front cover.

The website for this magazine is http://www.after50news.com.
The bottom (if you can't read it) states Our American Idol John Stevens with grandparents...

ENJOY!

Joni

ETA....make sure you click on the story Dream Big when you check out the website. There are more stories there, and it's a great article.

I'd like a copy too! lol! I was just telling Michelle that John looks like his gradpa when he was young. I saw the "Lately" clipe, the before interview. They show a pic of John's grandpa, and they look so much alike!!! Maybe John will look like him in the future.Smiler

Thanks for sharing that, Joni--that was really sweet. (I'm really close to my grandmother, so I can totally relate.)

And this is the most adorable (and, for him, probably most embarrassing) photo ever:

Thanks for posting that article - John's grandparents are the coolest! Oh, and Lauren, I love that pic! lol

Hey, you know, this type of thing seems like the type of angle Oprah might consider showcasing on her show - think about a grandparent appreciation show (when is grandparents day anyway?) where she can interview young overachieving celebrities (featuring John) who have been influenced greatly by the support and guidance of their grandparents. Just a thought in case anyone was planning on emailing Oprah (again) and needed an idea for why John would be a good guest.

I really like this idea, I wish Oprah or her people would get with the program here. It would make a great show theme.

The world really has changed, the music industry is no longer driven by money and connections, it's driven by the mere words of random folks on a free message board. A grave lesson for us all

His grandparent's are two of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting, and talking too. They are so sweet, I wish they would adopt me!! Actually, I believe they are John's inspiration, and what has made him the wonderful person he is today. His entire family is the greatest, and John is so blessed to have them, and them to have him. That is why John is a true American Idol to me, and my family.

Seriously, I think Oprah, Ellen, and maybe even Montel (but that might be a bit much too).

It's a magazine, for us (soon to be) folks 50 and older. It's called After 50, and has lots of great articles for the Young At Heart, like me, I hope. Big Grin

(((((Joni)))))))

That is a really good, sweet article of John and his grandparents Smiler Now we know what side of the family he got his red hair from Wink (maybe his dad has the red hair gene too, that might be why his hair is the color red it is Razzer)

I will always love you Traci <3

Hi John; it's Sarah Ann! We met each other in Grand Prairie, Texas & I gave you a red bag full of red candies & gums. And you called me from Donna's cell phone in Philly Big Grin
