Merry Christmas, Happy Festivas and Happy Holidays to you too. Hopefully Shades will be back up some time in the next century and we can talk over there. This place seems kind of abandoned.

Happy Holidays everyone! I'm sorry your site is down, Queen. With all of the work and time you spent on it,let's hope that it's not lost.

In the meantime, it's good to be able to check periodically on this board for updates.

On a personal note, my mother is very ill, and the decision was made this morning to just try to "keep her comfortable". (There had been talk of an operation, which would have been performed today, but her doctors agreed that she was too weak to survive the procedure.) We are sad of course, and the fact that it's Christmas seems to make it even sadder, but we pray that her last hours are peaceful ones.

KLP, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I went through a similar experience in 1994 and I still remember it quite well. My thoughts are with you.

Klp, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all at this very hard time, and I hope you all find some peace.

I pray for everyone to have a Happy and Healthy New Year, and I know there are challenges out there, as we've been through some hard times this year too. God has blessed us, and we are very greatful for Him in our lives.

God bless you all, and may you all find peace and happiness in the coming year, 2006!!

I miss you all, and wish you all well.

Joni

Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts. I'm sorry to say that about two hours after I had posted on the 24th, my mother passed away. It was quite a shock - it happened so quickly -(we had been visiting with her just a few hours before, and she was definitely coherent.)
My son and his family (including a new 8-week old baby boy) had made arrangements to come from Chicago for their Christmas visit this week. It was very difficult making the call to tell him he wouldn't get to see his grandmother again, or "introduce" her to her latest great-grandchild.
They arrived today, and now instead of a family dinner on Thursday, we have a funeral. Life is strange, and at times seems cruel. But it does go on, and as I hold our new baby, and have my other grandchildren around me, it's difficult to stay sad.
We have so much to be grateful for, and I am thankful that my mother went peacefully. Again, thank you all for your thoughtfulness.

FrownerI am very sorry and my heart goes out to you and your family. It is very difficult to deal with someone you love passing away, especially during the holidays. I will pray for you and I hope you will take care of yourself as well.

Klp and family, I am very saddened to hear of your mother's passing, and my sympathies go to you and your family, and I ask God to bless you all, and welcome home His child, your mother, to be with Him.

I know this is a very hard time, and Christmas for you all, but when you hold your new beautiful grandchild, in your loving arms, please know life goes on in that beautiful gift from God.

I pray that the New Year's brings you all strength, and love, and peace. God bless you all.

Joni

KLP, my prayers are with you as well during this difficult time. Please let us know how things are going with you.

It is hard when people don't post anymore and what is being posted is not all that constructive right now, which makes it even harder imho. Joni, I hope to keep in contact with you and will e-mail you after the holidays. Frowner I won't be back here much as I get too depressed with what's being posted. Does anyone know what happened with Brian, John's friend? I hope he will be on AI5.

Kitty, quite a few of our members have migrated over to a new board Shades of Red. We're not sure when this board will just disappear.

I put the board together so John's fans would have a place to stay together. You need to register to view the board and it is moderated. So far, we don't have anything newsy to report, but everyone seems quite happy over there.

Hiya Kitty, I hope you had a great Christmas, and I hope you have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

I haven't been on the computer much lately, so I've missed a lot.

As far as Brian, I saw him last week (12/21) at our Winterfest. I asked him about AI, and he couldn't answer me (or chose not to??), since I think they are under a gag rule so to speak?? I'm not sure, but I think that's what happened with John last year also, since we didn't know when he would be on in the beginning, and John had told us to just keep on watching. I also sent him an e-mail, and knowing Brian, as soon as he can answer me, he will. I hope he makes it, he's such a great guy too. Somehow I'll keep everyone posted about Brian also.

I also saw John at Winterfest, and he looks GREAT. He is looking forward to going to Berklee next month, and is excited about everything. He still gives the best hugs!!

His girlfriend Kelly had a duo with another talented young lady, and they sang Ain't No Mountain High Enough at Winterfest, and she was GREAT. She's such a wonderfully talented young lady.

John and Kelly are very happy together, and that warms this lunchladies heart.

See you soon, hopefully on another site, or via e-mail, since I'm still at pokerjoni@yahoo.com.

I will be on Shades of Red probably after the New Year, since I've been totally devoted to my family right now, and trying to be with them as much as I can, and we've been pretty busy. Life is good.

Happy New Year to all, with Health and Happiness also.

Joni
