I was a big fan of John in season 3, and I bought the CD a while back. I was wondering if you guys had any idea how many albums John sold, and why there was very little publicity (especially from American Idol) regarding his album release?

I haven't been on here in ages. Most of John's fans go to Shades, most of the fans from this board went there to continue to support John. If you read the boards here you will find all thoses answers, well sort of. Are we know is John and Maverick part ways awhile back. I don't know the exact numbers on sales but it wasn't enough, I am assuming. I been following John's career since after AI and he is doing great and going to college now and hopefully he will be back in the limelight again in the future. "RED" is still my favorite album ever produced by any former idol.

The main thing is that, I don't think the album came out in time before the new season began and it just didn't get the publicity it needed. In addition John's music is not mainstream so it is loved by the selected few. I hope he will grow to be as famous as Buble, Ostead and the others in the future. Lets hope that a label that is more compatiable with John's music picks him up in the future.

I am so happy that John's fans are still out there and wanting to know more about him. I hope I answer some of your questions.
